MOLYBDIC ACID A.R.
H2MoO4= 161.95
Assay (as Mo O3) 90% min
Chloride (Cl) 0.002% max
Phosphate (PO4) 0.0005% max
Sulphate (SO4) 0.005% max
Iron (Fe) 0.0005% max
Lead (Pb) 0.001% max
Soluble in ammonia giving clear solution. Molybdic
acid contains Acid ammonium molybdate.
Molybdenum trioxide should be used when the
presence of ammonia is objectionable.
